Yes. Intown QR Studio is free and open source under the GPL v2 license. All 14 content types, all customization options, and both download formats are included at no cost. A Pro tier with advanced features is coming soon — but the free version will never be reduced.

By default at /qr-generator on your site. You can change the URL slug in the settings, or disable the standalone page entirely and use only the shortcode.

No. The plugin is fully stateless — no tables, no stored files, no cleanup needed.

The standalone page uses your theme’s header and footer automatically. The shortcode outputs clean HTML that inherits your theme’s typography. All plugin styles are scoped to prevent conflicts.

Yes. The generator automatically signals popular caching plugins to exclude the page. If your caching plugin still caches it, add the page slug to its exclusion list.

The QR codes generated by this plugin are static — the data is encoded directly and there is no tracking. Scan analytics and dynamic QR codes are planned for a future Pro release.

PNG is a raster image — great for digital use at the size you download. SVG is a vector format that scales to any size without losing quality, making it ideal for print materials.
